My song has ended :-)

 

Yes, I was trying to keep going with my SIM, even prepared the new Star City, but helas, I have to give up my dreams :-(  At the beginning of this year it will go off line... New Year, New beginnings, but in my case it will be an ending... well, I  also had a sort of Burn Out for making clothes... all the group notices and advertising is very hard to keep up and as you know I'm not good at preasing highly myself or my brand or gaining money out of it :-)... so be it !  I will come to Inworldz from time to time and have fun with making pictures and relax, I'll see how things go... will keep my 2 stores at Bellissima Square and Emsland even if I dont sell a thing, its hard to let go all in one time :-)  hope I will get in better spirit the coming year...

I wish you all a very Happy 2013 !

may all your aspirations, wishes come true and may life have the fulfilment you were hoping for,  in a Virtual World or in Real Life witch is more important :-)

Witchcraft needed !

Well, I have been busy behind the scene with building on my SIM for quite a while :-)
Finally I took a decision on what to make out of it. I'm like a balance, always doughting about everything lol, should I make a Fairy Forest ? or a Science Fiction Star City ? hm... started on those  and did not finish. Now the RL circumstances have pushed me in the direction of a Shopping City...Yes I do have a Mall on the Sky platform and yes its not full house...
But I have no choice for this adventure... I need some income to support my SIM.
RL is going to have changes and I have no choice, it is this solution or giving up the SIM :-(
I'll give it a try and see how things go...

I realize I have to do something in return for running it, like sales, boardwalks, advertising and if I have the ability and knowledge I will start a Magazine to write about the merchants and their works.
This is what I had in mind, I know it is not so evident to run all this and will see how things turn out. Its a lot of work looking after the rentboxes, no lost objects lying or floating around :-) see if all works like it should, yes don't underestimate the work for running all this ! I have a great admiration for Estate Managers who do this with many SIMS... and... gain a lot of money !
This is not my intend to gain, just to sustain :-)

Well afterall it is also suitable for roleplay, to be good or bad, its up to you, but mind the Pentagram's point is directed upwards so actually its ment to be 'GOOD MAGIC' to be done :-)

each time I go, there are no visitors...  in my timeline there are only 80 to 90 online.
Maybe at rush hour and US time it will get more people :-)

Halloween coming up !

Halloween is coming up soon ! 
The  Grid is all prepared for the Spooky scenery :-)
Inworldz Sponsered Events started the Fright Fest on the 1st of October (yes, yes I'm running behind, I know),There is a lot to see and to explore for the creepy things.
I did my best to make some new stuff, like a beautifull Bat Woman with Sculpted wings. It takes a lot of patience to learn, no good= use the X in Blender and start all over ! Many hours spent...

I made a graveyard also with sculpted prims for FACADE building brand, a part of my enterprise I have neglected lately.
Why are there only 24 hours in a day ? Or why am I so slow ? :-)

Cleaning up

Time to clean out my store and make some bargains :-)
 Dresses I made in the beginning have had their life, some of them where never sold... Time to comtemplate about my designs, are they still in the market ? Are they still wanted ? Well, I do not sell as much anymore like before, maybe because a lot of good designers and creators from other grids came to Inworldz and now adays there is plenty of choices and shops. The New makes place for the Old, its like season changings :-) 
So if you want a dress for less, come to the Star City Mall and grab your choice under the 100 I'z, because a lot of them will not see the light anymore after the sales !

Virtual Reality, how real is it ?

Last night I went to see the Fashion show for the first time :-) shame on me for this but I had to go because the vendors for after the show weren't set up yet...
Oh ! La ! VR how real is it ? I missed the first catwalk for the Autumn dress, hope that went well :) I was seated on a table and enjoyed the dresses the models were showing, then the Alani was the first I got to see, but the model was not wearing the skirt...auw  first thing came into my mind, did I forget to include when I send the box?  So I asked in chat WHERE IS THE SKIRT ?

Lyra was so kind to send me a picture from the model showing the dress With Skirt ... hein ? how ? I didn't see one... I forgot to take a picture of her to prove this on my end. Well next time better :-) then the Drapage dress was showing and that looked fine except 1 missing earring.

 Finally at the end Absinthe was coming down the catwalk...oh my God, the model was wearing the hip skirt from the Drapage dress and the black pants instead of the green ....was this for real? or was I tricked again :-) 

But I heard a comment that  the outfit was so special because of the black pants combined... sjeessshhhh... this blew me up my chair, lol ... some must have seen the same as me... or maybe they were lucky with another viewer ?... who will tell what's real or not !
I leave that in the middle for now...  Well its all in the Pixel or not  :-)))) I had a good glass of Champagne afterwoods !

InStylez Fashion show

I was at a point to give up making dresses...(see my previous post 'no strings no have to' )and then a IM dropped in my box...'I invite you to do a show'...the theme would be 'Fall' ! Hm, hé, oh, well I don't have recent fall items made... short notice only a week...so instead of saying no thanks, I ran to my drawing board and started to make 4 dresses. For me thats not my paste and way to fast to go :-) but I don't want to disappoint people when they say you make nice stuff...hm, and I also have an ego lol
So I got my deadline last week, because the models need to fit and rehears on the catwalk, just like in  real life !

Twist&Torch Art Fest

Summer Holiday periode for the Arts Fest is over  ! It goes that fast :-) The next Art Exhibition will be held in september.

I like the theme and it is a challenge,  "Twisted and Tortured prims"
Well, I never did this with much attention when building, but yesterday I had a beautiful sunday playing and torturing things, I like that, lol !
Do you know that feeling when you are very concentrated, you go almost in a trance...?
I do, also when reading a book or watching an exciting film, that happens to me, the world is standing still and I'm moving into another, not necessarily a virtual world but my own :-)

I said  it would be a BIG composition for the next Art Fest and indeed it IS BIG :-)
luckely we got a 30x30 meters size plot to put up... so we have to go into the sky if we have a lot of ideas.

The pictures show only the first part. I started with 1 idea but it evolved to 3 levels, had no problem finding a name for it :-) yep I have "A Tortured Brain"

Last hours before opening

All has been set out for M!RAMODE for the St Jude's Charity at the Fashion Fair. Here you have a peek what I have to contribute for this Event! (Pictures of the Fair will follow later)
 I did my best to make lovely dresses in time, now it is your turn to contribute for the good cause :-)

I also will donate 50% of all my sales to this Charity during the Clothing Fair, hoping people will find their way to the new collection at the Mainstore and the Fair.

I also have made changes for the Groupgift.

No strings no have to's

In business even in Virtual Worlds you have to be consistant, keep it rolling, make advertisements, make new stuff, write notecards, looking after your stores, fill them up again,pay rent, and if you are lucky they like your dresses and buy, it is a stimulant to hit the drawing board again, its hard at times to keep up...even on low business rates.
On the other side it can be a liberation if you don't have to worry for the next groupgift and taking care of things, so 'no strings no have to's'...
This was my contemplation for the day, a sort of decision making thought, sorry if I sound a bit off tune and please don't read it as 'complaintion' a new word invention ? :-)

I wonder why...

I have a business and making clothes, instead of using my time to create other things Inworldz... The more I discover blogs and seeing all this wonderful things made, admiring their creativity and them having fun... I wonder why...
I have to confess I 'm having a burnout and maybe after the fund raising, I will finally try to shape my SIM. After more then a year it is still unbuild at groundlevel, shame on me for not doing something with it...Some people would die to get to work if they had one :-)
I will not close all the stores, but will take a sabat for making new clothes. Time to do other things, and I need to use my spare time wisely :-)

Virtual worlds are for people with some spare time and have fun, create, make friends, chat, explore etc...
But when Real Life comes in the first place because of a family emergency, the Virtual World has to wait...
I'm in such a periode, (worst is over), I can go half speed again..but that puts me behind with all my project I had to do.
Trying to get on the road again to prepare for the fund raising and donations for the Fashion Fair, although I have to cut down for the moment on some other projects I had in mind.

My contribution for the Silent Auction

A lot of Inworldz people are busy to make things to donate for the St Jude's Children's Hospital.
Jeri Rahja is collecting items for the auction, it seems there will be all sorts of things you can bid on, from clothes, to art, to builds to to ... you name it :-)
I wanted to express myself in an 'Art'  (in parentheses) piece about Cancer...it is a statue with a head locked in an armor mask, the floating orbs are Cancer Cells. Its called  'Fight Cancer'

This is the second in a series of innovative shows that will bring the world of fashion and the multi faceted and extremely talented creators of Inworldz to all.
The genre included are beachwear and mermaid. There are fashions in these categories for the discerning male and female both. Having seen some of the fashion, I am thrilled these are being offered. Fellas, this also may be the first time you have fashion that outshines the ladies at times Inworldz.
To complete the decor, art pieces by Glory nider, of Glorywood, D&G Creations, Sapphy Rotaru, of Gallimaufry Store, Strand Starsider, of Mermaids, and Julia hathor, of Creative Fantasy have been incorporated into the sea decor that surrounds "Stage Aqua" These artisans works are seen throughout 3 islands of ocean life beneath the seas.
The fashion show will showcase creations and designs by 4 of the top creators Inworldz as well.
