Oh my God this looks amazing !!! I just found out about this place on the forum!
I was asked some time ago if I could make a uniform for Star Trek, I even made a communicator with animation and sound, but I never heard back from the person... But I 've put it on myself to go visit this wonderful place :-) its build like the real thing of the TV series!
I do feel so discouraged now with my new project ahead, because I never can build that way :-( well... maybe some day, lol anyway :
GO SEE THIS PLACE if you like Star Trek, sience fiction , space etc...

Groupgift April

Science Fiction

I always wondered why you find the word ' science' in the science fiction genre to define fantasy builds or worlds who don't exist, maybe because they can or will become reality one day ?
The first GSM network was operative in 1991, when you use Bluetooth or an earset, you can be in contact all the time, without even holding the device....
Star Trek had the communicators pinned on their chest ! Looked awesome at that time, no ? :-) Well this became reality... So I guess some artists and scientists are working on the world of tomorrow in their fantasy and labs, for now an idea, but soon for real !
I always loved science fiction a lot, must be the male side in me :-) if you want some contradictions, a sweet lovely girl in her pink dress, making ruff and almost industrial things... (see pictures)
Started building and... I'm sweet for some weeks now :-) I go slow, and redo a lot, texturing is the most difficult thing to match all the pieces...
I'll go with the flow and have no idea or a blue print for the layout, so it is more
'with a wet finger' like we use to say here :-)

I do have a thought behind all this and will explain later.
But for now I'm muddling around :-) , who cares.... I have fun and it keeps me busy...

Conference in Las Vegas

Inworldz® big Conference in Las Vegas will start today !
They will Celebrate the 3th Birthday (1st of April) for the Grid. People behind the avatars will be revealed...friendships intensified and others made.
There even will be a RL marriage !
Everyone is exited :-) for those who stayed home, they can see a streamed video on the Welcome Area at IDI (inworld)... and for us in Europe, it can be in the middle of the night. But maybe some good soules will capture images and put them on the net for us to see later !

Social Aspects of a VW

Interesting question and for once I came out of my closet :-)

Why I am hooked to IW ? what drives me?
good questions...
I think Virtual worlds are needed for some people just like twitter, facebook,blogs and more social sites, for each of us to be filled in for different reasons, getting attention, having Virtual friends, coming out of isolation, express creativity etc...
If I speak for myself, I'm an Einzelgänger (loner) in real life as well , I'm not social at all, this does not mean I can't behave if I have to or can't chat or have no humor but it is not my nature !
How come ?... I don't know, maybe because I'm modest ? I'm always friendly and also vulnerable...maybe that's why I'm hiding ? I don't need much attention or haven't to say important things often, nor do I have the urge to direct people ...But...I love Virtual worlds (only IW for now) and what should I do without ?
It became a ritual and a part of my RL, first thing in the morning while drinking my coffee, I go to the Forum to keep up to date.
Looking for an interesting Exhibition to participate, or nice places and things made by others I have to see ...
What I do most is creating on my Island, so yes I'm a female bloke messing around, cursing, trying again, becoming totally under stress , but also learning and fun to see things I had in mind, taking form in a 3D environment.
Conclusion, virtual worlds are needed, for those who have to fill in a social need, even the loners, people with dissabilities, sick people, even insane people the ones who need to speak or write their words to become important, to be connected to people, to manipulate others, to gossip, to make drama...to escape into another world,(because you do not like to do your VT household LOL)
But also for artists who like to experiment on another level and try to make a concept...people who are hooked up in the scripting part or to make avatars moving and come to life...(a nice description for sex ).

SO bottom line... each of us needs Virtual Worlds in our own way !!!
The only thing you have to have is spare time and connect...

P.S oh yes, I'm out of quarantine !!! I can see my groups again in my profile, but that doesn't mean I'm social

Bigger and More is better ?

Oeps, it sounds like a porno statement, but NO it isn't :-)

I was wandering around the Art Fest at Inworldz® this afternoon taking pictures and had great fun, enjoyed all the beautiful things... but... one thought came up , I have been thinking about this before as well. If you make something on the size of the avatar, no clothes or things to wear, but objects, all seems so small ! Most of the Art Creators go out of this proportion versus avatar. A lot of them go BIG :-) on top of that they will use a lot of prims, sculpts, images, emitters... using more then needed to make their statement. So if I come to the point, is bigger and more better ? Well for the bigger, maybe, because you don't have to zoom in so much and for your PC screen it looks better ! For the more...I don't know, in my case (but thats personal taste), I would say no.
I had a lot of material made from real live pictures of the Carnival Parade around my corner, and at the end I didn't use it, because I had a feeling if I add this or that as well, I loose some strenght of the concept !?
Its like if you are making a painting (I can't, but know from people who said this)
'You have to know and feel when to stop on a painting, if not you can kill it'
All I know is that the Art Creations become bigger and bigger on the Primgasm Fests Hm... well... looking into this, next time I go also for BIG :-) and for the gasm ? ... well probably not.
But I ain't no Einstein !

The Mad Hatter Art Fest

My project : As Mad as a Hat

The floor is slanting and when you walk towards the door, it will become out of proportion and become small, because I used perspective and slope... well they asked crooked, didn't they ? :-)

As from today, the participants can start building or setting up for the Mad Hatter Art Fest at Inworldz®. It is inspired on Alice in Wonderland, where everything is higgledy-piggledy, the room or furniture becoming BIG or small...wacky and not normal.

Very interesting idea to work with...so I had fun the last week to jump on this theme for the Exhibition :-) The official opening will be on the 3th of April till the 21st ...
I will give the LM after that.
Most of the builds are already set up, but some people are still working.
As a bunny is also a character in Alice, and Easter almost there... you will find also eggs and baskets as a workout...

I do have a friend , its a papermate !
He is polite, very discreet and waves friendly...

When the start of the Fest has given, I will post more pictures on this blog :-)

I'm so exited to see all the beautiful things the IWZ builders are making !

Groupgift March

St Patricks Day is a day to wear green colors.
The phrase "the wearing of the green", meaning to wear a shamrock on one's clothing, derives from a song of the same name.

So for the groupgift for March it had to be a green dress :-)

New M!RAMODE shop at Emsland

After the busy period for the Mardi Gras, wich was a great succes for M!RAMODE,
I'll thank everyone who was wearing my beautiful costumes, yes, yes I know I shouldn't brag about this...but I'm happy to contribute in a small part for making Inworldz a fun place to be :-)

I had the intention ( for a long time) to open a shop at Emsland, one of the first shopping SIMS !
It was there I was directed on my first visit at Inworldz®, and I said to myself, in the futur this is what I like to accomplish too :-) having a store here...
now it became reality (as far as you can call it that way, it's still virtual lol)

The parcel was not easy to put one of my shops , so I had to build a new one to fit the parcel.
Good for FACADE , one shop more in the sales...

I do have a lot of projects coming up, but that I'll keep for another post :-)
hm, my tortoise image is fading...purchased a motor to put at the rear lol, full speed forward, its green energy !
